The Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services, issued Notification S.O. 3859(E) on 22nd August, 2025, announcing the appointment of Shri Satish Kashinath Marathe to the Board of Directors of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD). This appointment, made by the Central Government in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), is exercised under the powers conferred by clause (c) of sub-section (1) of Section 6 of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development Act, 1981 (61 of 1981). Shri Marathe, who is a Director on the Central Board of the Reserve Bank of India, is appointed for a period of three years from the date of the notification or until further orders, whichever occurs earlier.
