ORDER
New Delhi, the 20th January, 2025
S.O. 353(E).- The Government of India, in exercise of the powers conferred under sub-section (1) of Section
4 of the Jute Packaging Materials (Compulsory Use in Packing Commodities) Act, 1987 (JPM Act, 1987) and also under
Rule 3(a) of the Rules issued vide No. G.S.R. (B) under the JPM Act, 1987 have decided to constitute the Standing
Advisory Committee (SAC) as per the following composition:—

2. The SAC will recommend the norms of packaging in jute materials, as per the JPM Act, 1987.
3. The validity of the aforesaid constituted SAC will be for a period of three years from the date of publication of this
Resolution in the Gazette of India.
