Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying) issued Notification S.O. 3325(E) on 18th July, 2025, in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 15 of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984), read with sub-rule (5) of rule 10 of the Veterinary Council of India (Procedure for recognition and de-recognition of Veterinary Colleges and Veterinary Qualifications) Rules, 2017. After consulting the Veterinary Council of India, the Central Government made a further amendment to the First Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984. Specifically, under the sub-heading “DEGREES” and against serial number 85, which relates to P.V. Narisimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University, Hyderabad, a new item (iii) and its entries were inserted. This new entry recognizes the "Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry" (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) qualification from the College of Veterinary Science, Mamnoor, Warangal. This qualification will be recognized only when granted on or after 12th February, 2026. The First Schedule was previously amended by notification S.O. 3232(E), dated 14th July, 2025.
