The Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, through the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, issued Notification No. 12/2025 – CENTRAL TAX, G.S.R. 565(E), on August 20, 2025. In exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (6) of section 39 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (12 of 2017), the Commissioner, based on the recommendations of the Council, has extended the due date for furnishing the return in FORM GSTR-3B for the month of July, 2025. The new due date is till the twenty-seventh day of August, 2025. This extension applies specifically to registered persons whose principal place of business is located in the districts of Mumbai (City), Mumbai (sub-urban), Thane, Raigad, and Palghar in the State of Maharashtra, and who are required to furnish returns under sub-section (1) of section 39 read with clause (i) of sub-rule (1) of rule 61 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017.
