The Ministry of Finance, Department of Economic Affairs, Financial Market Division, issued Notification S.O. 5284(E) on November 19, 2025, appointing Shri Sandip Pradhan, IRS (IT:1990) and current Director General of Income Tax (Investigation), Pune, as a Whole Time Member of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). This appointment by the Central Government is made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1)(d) and sub-section (4) of section 4 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India Act, 1992 (15 of 1992), read with rule 3 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Terms and Conditions of Service of Chairman and Members) Rules, 1992. The tenure of appointment is for a period of three years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
