The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India, issued Notification G.S.R. 238(E) on April 17, 2025. Acting under the powers granted by sub-section (1) of section 10B of the Chartered Accountants Act, 1949 (38 of 1949) and in accordance with rule 3 of the Chartered Accountants (Election Tribunal) Rules, 2006, the Central Government hereby establishes a Tribunal. This Tribunal is tasked with deciding disputes as referred to under section 10A of the said Act, specifically concerning the election held in December 2024 for the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The Tribunal is constituted with the following individuals: Ms. Anju Rathi Rana, Secretary, Ministry of Law and Justice, Department of Legal Affairs, serving as the Presiding Officer; Ms. S Meenakshi, Official Liquidator, as a Member; and Shri Sanjay Shorey, Director General of Corporate Affairs, as a Member. This notification is stipulated to come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.
