Additionally, numerous government officials from MeitY and its affiliated bodies such as Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), CERT-In, National Informatics Centre (NIC), and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC), along with officials from the Department of Official Language, serve as members, with Ms. Tulika Pandey, Scientist 'G' and Group Coordinator (Official Language), acting as Member Secretary. The committee's primary role is to review and advise on the promotion of Hindi usage within MeitY's operations, adhering to policies set by the Central Hindi Committee and the Department of Official Language. The committee's tenure is typically three years, with specific conditions for membership cessation. Non-official members are entitled to travelling and daily allowances as per Government of India rates, informed by Department of Official Language O.M. No. 11/20034/4/86-O.B.(A-2) dated 22nd January, 1987, while Members of Parliament's allowances are regulated by the Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament Act, 1954. Functions of the Committee This Committee will review the status of increasing use of Hindi in the functioning of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in accordance with the policies laid down from time to time by the Central Hindi Committee and the Department of Official Language and will render necessary advice in this regard. 3. Tenure The term of the Committee shall normally be three years from the date of its constitution, subject to the following conditions:- A. The members of this Committee shall cease to be members of this Committee if they cease to be members of Parliament. B. The members of the Committee will remain members as long as they hold their offices. C. In case of resignation, death etc. of a member, the member appointed to that seat will remain a member only for the remaining period of three years term. 4. General The headquarter of the committee will be in New Delhi. However, the committee can hold its meetings at any other place if required. 5. Travelling and other allowances For attending the meetings of the Committee, non-official members will be paid travelling and daily allowances at the rates fixed by the Government of India from time to time taking into account the instructions issued by the Department of Official Language vide OM No. 11/20034/4/86-O.B.(A-2) dated 22nd January, 1987. In the case of Members of Parliament, travelling allowances/daily allowances will be regulated as per the provisions of the Salary, Allowances and Pension of Members of Parliament Act, 1954, as amended from time to time and the rules made thereunder. ORDER It is ordered that a copy of this Resolution may please be forwarded to all members of the Committee, all State Governments, Union Territory Administrations, Prime Minister's Office, Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Lok Sabha Secretariat, Rajya Sabha Secretariat, Comptroller & Auditor General of India and all Ministries/Departments of the Government of India.
