The Ministry of Textiles, under Order No. S.O. 5267(E) dated 18th November, 2025, issued from New Delhi, announces that the Central Government, in exercise of powers conferred by section 16 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), and after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, has decided that it is necessary in the public interest to rescind a previous notification. This rescinded notification is the Government of India in the Ministry of Textiles No. S.O. 6143(E) dated 29th December, 2022, which was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) on the same date, and pertained to Viscose Staple Fibres. The rescission takes immediate effect, with the exception of things done or omitted to be done before this rescission.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-18112025-267787 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 5097] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 18, 2025/KARTIKA 27, 1947 MINISTRY OF TEXTILES ORDER New Delhi, the 18th November, 2025 S.O. 5267(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), the Central Government is of the opinion that it is necessary so to do in the public interest, after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards, hereby rescinds the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Textiles No. S.O. 6143(E) dated 29th December, 2022 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) dated 29th December, 2022, relating to Viscose Staple Fibres with immediate effect, except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such rescission.
