Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Textiles, through Notification S.O. 5218(E) dated 6th November, 2025, issued from New Delhi, has exercised powers conferred by sub-section (3) of Section 4 of the Central Silk Board Act, 1948 (61 of 1948). This notification by the Central Government formally announces the nomination of Shri M. Raghunandan Rao, IAS, to serve as a Member of the Central Silk Board. Shri Rao, currently the APC & Secretary to Government, Agriculture & Cooperation Department, Government of Telangana, was nominated on the recommendation of the Government of Telangana under Section 4(3)(i) of the said Act. His tenure as a Member will be for a period of three years from the date of this notification, subject to the provisions of the Central Silk Board Act.
