Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Finance, Department of Revenue, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, through Notification No. 17/2025 – CENTRAL TAX (G.S.R. 765(E)) dated 18th October, 2025, issued from New Delhi, has extended the time limit for registered persons to furnish their return in FORM GSTR-3B electronically via the common portal. This extension is made by the Commissioner, acting on the recommendations of the Council, utilizing powers conferred by sub-section (6) of section 39 read with section 168 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 (12 of 2017). Specifically, the due date for furnishing the return under sub-section (1) of section 39 for the month of September, 2025, is extended till the twenty-fifth day of October, 2025. Similarly, the due date for furnishing the return under the proviso to sub-section (1) of section 39 for the quarter of July, 2025 to September, 2025, is also extended till the twenty-fifth day of October, 2025.
