Note: The First Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 was lastly amended by notification published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide number S.O. 322(E), dated 17th January, 2025 MINISTRY OF FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 14th July, 2025 S.O. 3231(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (2) of section 15 of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984 (52 of 1984), read with sub-rule (5) of rule 10 of the Veterinary Council of India (Procedure for recognition and de-recognition of Veterinary Colleges and Veterinary Qualifications) Rules, 2017, the Central Government, after consulting the Veterinary Council of India, hereby makes the following further amendments in the First Schedule to the said Act, namely:- In the First Schedule to the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984, under sub-heading “DEGREES", against serial number 78, relating to Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Hisar, after item (ii) and the entries relating thereto, the following item and entries shall be inserted, namely:- | University or Veterinary Institution | Recognised veterinary qualification | Abbreviation for registration | | :------------------------------------------ | :------------------------------------- | :----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | | (1) | (2) | (3) | | "(iii) RPS College of Veterinary Sciences, (Mahendragarh) | Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry | B.V.Sc. & A.H.
