L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-18022025-261143 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 859] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2025/MAGHA 29, 1946 MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th February, 2025 S.O. 865(E).-WHEREAS, the Central Government is satisfied that the public interest so requires that the services in the Bank Note Paper Mill India Private Limited, Mysore, Karnataka, which is covered under item 32 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act; AND, WHEREAS, the Central Government has declared the said industrial undertaking to be public utility service for the purposes of the said Act for a period of six months with effect from the 19th August, 2024, vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Labour and Employment, number S.O. 3493(E), dated the 16th August, 2024; AND, WHEREAS, the proviso to said sub-clause (vi) provides that if the Central Government is of the opinion that public interest requires the extension of the declaration of public utility service, it may be extended for a period not exceeding six months; NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by the proviso to sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government being of the opinion that in the public interest requires extension, hereby extends the period specified in the notification number S.O.3493(E), dated the 16th August, 2024 for a further period of six months from the 19th February, 2025 during which the services engaged in the said industries to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act.
