The Central Government, after consulting the Veterinary Council of India, has issued a notification to amend the First Schedule of the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984. This amendment, made under powers from Section 15(2) of the Act and Rule 10(5) of the 2017 Rules, adds 'M.B. Veterinary College, Dungarpur, Rajasthan' to the list of recognized veterinary institutions. The recognized qualification for this college is 'Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.)', but it will only be recognized if granted on or after June 10, 2026.
