This notification supersedes the Ministry's earlier Notification No. 2(1)/2017-Pers.I (Pt.) dated 21st October 2025, published in the Gazette of India vide S.O. 4769(E) on 21st October 2025. The designations are made in exercise of powers conferred by sub-section (1) of section 69A of the Information Technology Act, 2000 (21 of 2000) read with rule 3 of the Information Technology (Procedure and Safeguards for Blocking for Access of Information by Public) Rules, 2009. Shri Akhil Kumar, IPS(UP:1994), Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Digital India Corporation, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (in the rank and pay of Additional Secretary to the Government of India), located at Electronics Niketan, 6 Central Government Offices Complex, New Delhi - 110003, is designated as the primary Designated Officer. Shri Sushil Pal, ICAS(1999), Joint Secretary, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, at the same address, is designated as the Designated Officer to serve during Shri Akhil Kumar's absence on account of leave, tour, etc. The notification is signed by Amitesh Kumar Sinha, Addl.
