Core Purpose

This Corrigendum Notification, dated March 16, 2026, substitutes note no. d to the duty table, correcting a typographical error in a previous Corrigendum Notification dated June 16, 2025, concerning the final finding in a countervailing duty investigation.

Detailed Summary

This Corrigendum Notification, issued by the Directorate General of Trade Remedies under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) on March 16, 2026, addresses a typographical error in a previously issued Corrigendum Notification dated June 16, 2025. The original investigation, Case No. CVD (OI) - 1/2024, concerned imports of effect pearlescent pigments or mica pearlescent pigments, excluding those for automotive applications. The Directorate General had issued its Final Finding Notification F. No. 6/8/2024 - DGTR dated March 28, 2025, under the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and the Customs Tariff (Identification, Determination and Assessment of Countervailing Duties and Injury) Rules, 1995. This new corrigendum, signed by Amitabh Kumar, Designated Authority, supersedes all previous notifications concerning note no. d to the duty table, substituting it with the provision that "In case of effect pearlescent pigments or mica pearlescent pigments of synthetic grade other than for automotive application, since no anti-dumping duty is payable, the quantum of countervailing duty shall be equivalent to the amount payable as per column (7)."
