The Delhi Development Authority (DDA), in exercise of powers under section 57 of the Delhi Development Act, 1957 (61 of 1957), and with the previous approval of the Central Government, issued the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorised Colonies), Second Amendment, Regulations, 2023, dated 14th September 2023, effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The amendment substitutes sub-regulation (10) of regulation 4 of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorised Colonies) Regulations, 2019 (principal regulations published vide G.S.R. 814(E) dated 29th October 2019, and previously amended vide notifications dated 27th July 2022 and 15th May 2023), providing that regularisation charges, valid till 31st March 2022, shall thereafter be enhanced by eight percent every year, with worked examples: Rs. 5775 for applications filed before 1st April 2022, Rs. 6237 (Rs. 5775 plus 8 percent, i.e. Rs. 462) for applications filed between 31st March 2022 and 1st April 2023, and Rs. 6699 (Rs. 5775 plus 16 percent, i.e. Rs. 924) for applications filed between 31st March 2023 and 1st April 2024, in each case for 100 square metres in unauthorised colonies falling in 'G' category on Government land. No. LM/PM/0024/2020/UDAY/POL .—In exercise of the powers conferred by section 57 of the Delhi Development Act, 1957 (61 of 1957), the Delhi Development Authority, with the previous approval of the Central Government hereby makes the following regulati ons further to amend the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights of Residents in Unauthorised Colonies) Regulations, 2019, namely: - 1. (1) These regulations may be called the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of P roperty Rights of Residents in Unauthorised Colonies), Second Amendment, Regulations, 2023. (2) They shall come into force on date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. In the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Recognition of Property Rights o f Residents in Unauthorised Colonies) Regulations, 2019, in regulation 4, for sub -regulation (10), the following sub -regulation shall be substituted, namely: - “(10) The charges shall be valid till the 31st day of March, 2022 and thereafter, charges shall b e enhanced every year by eight percent. As illustrated hereunder. Illustrations (a) If the application has been filed before the 1st day of April, 2022, then for 100 square metres in unauthorised colonies falling in 'G' category on Government land, applic ant has to deposit charges amounting to Rs 5775. (b) If the application has been filed after the 31st day of March, 2022 but before the 1st day of April, 2023, then for 100 square metres in unauthorised colonies falling in 'G' category on Government land, applicant has to deposit enhanced charges amounting to Rs. 5775 plus eight per cent. thereon i.e. Rs. 5775 plus Rs. 462 totalling Rs. 6237. (c) If the application has been filed after the 31st day of March, 2023 but before the 1st day of April, 2024, then for 100 square metres in unauthorised colonies falling in 'G' category on Government land, applicant has to deposit enhanced charges amounting to Rs. 5775 plus sixteen per cent. thereon i.e. Rs. 5775 plus Rs. 924 totalling Rs. 6699”.
