Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Labour and Employment, exercising powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 (34 of 1948), hereby notifies the appointment of the 1st day of May, 2025, as the date from which certain provisions of the said Act shall come into force. This commencement applies to all areas within the districts of Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Chumukedima, Niuland, Tseminyu, Wokha and Zunheboto in the State of Nagaland. The provisions of the Act brought into force are sections 38 to 43, sections 45A to 45H, sections 46 to 73, sections 74 and 75, sub-sections (2) to (4) of section 76, and sections 82 and 83.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-15042025-262455 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1685] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, APRIL 15, 2025 MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 15th April, 2025 S.O. 1716(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-section (3) of section 1 of the Employees' State Insurance Act, 1948 (34 of 1948), the Central Government hereby appoints the 1st day of May, 2025, as the date on which the following provisions of the said Act, shall come into force in all the areas of the district of Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung, Chumukedima, Niuland, Tseminyu, Wokha and Zunheboto in the State of Nagaland, namely:- (i) sections 38 to 43; (ii) sections 45A to 45H; (iii) sections 46 to 73; (iv) sections 74 and 75; (v) sub-section (2) to (4) of section 76; and (vi) sections 82 and 83.
