NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 29th.November, 2024
G.S.R. 30(E).—The draft of the following rules to amend the Explosives Rules, 2008,
which Central Government proposes to make in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 5
and 7 of the Explosives Act, 1884 (4 of 1884) is hereby published as required by sub-section (1) of
section 18 of the said Act for information of all persons likely to be affected thereby, and notice is
hereby given that the said draft shall be taken into consideration after the expiry of a period of
thirty (30) days from the date on which the copies of the Gazette of India containing this
notification are made available to the public.
Objections or suggestions if any, to these draft rules may be sent to the Director
(Explosives), Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade, Ministry of Commerce
and Industry, Room No. 252-A, Udyog Bhavan, New Delhi – 110011 or Email: expl-dipp@nic.in;
within the period specified above;
The objections or suggestions which may be received from any person with respect to
the said draft rules within the period above so specified will be taken into consideration by the
Central Government.
Draft Rules
1.
(1) These rules may be called the Explosives (Amendment) Rules, 2024.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their final publication in the Official Gazette.
2.
In the principal rules, in rule 106, the sub-rule (3) shall be omitted.
3.
In the principal rules, in rule 112, in sub-rule (1) the word “five” shall be replaced with the
word "ten".
4.
In the principal rules, in rule 112, in sub-rule (8) the word “five” shall be replaced with the
word "ten".
