Notification in respect of constitution of Planning Board of the Asiatic Society Kolkata

In pursuance of the provisions contained in Section 8(1) of the Asiatic Society Act, 1984, the Central Government hereby constitutes a Planning Board (Asiatic Society, Kolkata). This Planning Board is constituted for the purpose of advising the Asiatic Society, Kolkata with respect to the planning and implementation of its developmental programs and other matters concerning the Society. 2. The constitution of the Planning Board is as given below: (i) Secretary (Culture) - Chairman (ii) AS& FA, Ministry of Culture, New Delhi - Member (iii) Director General, National Council of Science Museums, Kolkata - Member (iv) Director General, Raja Ram Mohun Roy Library Foundation, Kolkata - Member (v) Secretary& Curator, Victoria Memorial Hall, Kolkata - Member (vi) President, Asiatic Society, Kolkata - Member (vii) Director, Asiatic Society, Kolkata - Convener 3. The term of office of the Chairman and Members of the Planning Board shall be for a period of four years from the date of publication of the Notification in the Gazette of India. 4.
