Short title and commencement. — (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of 150th Year of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science) Rules, 2026. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Denomination of coin.— The coin of One Hundred and Fifty Rupees denomination shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of 150th year of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science. 3. The standard weight of the coin of denomination referred to in rule 2 to commemorate the occasion of 150th year of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule annexed to these rules. FIRST SCHEDULE [See Rule 4] ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY RUPEES OBVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of the Ashoka Pillar at the centre with the legend "सत्यमेव जयते" inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word "भारत "in Devanagari script and on the right periphery the word "INDIA" in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "₹" and the denominational value "150" in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the logo of Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science at the centre of the coin. The inscription “इण्डियन एसोसिएशन फॉर द कल्टीवेशन ऑफ़ साइंस का 150वां वर्ष" shall be inscribed in Devanagari script on the upper periphery of the coin. The inscription “150TH YEAR OF IACS” shall be inscribed in English on the lower periphery of the coin. The year “1876” in international numerals shall be inscribed to the left of the logo and the year “2026” in international numerals shall be inscribed to the right of the logo.
