The coin will be circular, 44 millimeters in diameter, with 200 serrations, and composed of Pure Silver (99.9 per cent silver content). Its standard weight is 40 Grams, with a permitted composition tolerance of 999 parts of silver per 1000 and a standard weight remedy of 1/8000th plus or minus (39.995 grams to 40.005 grams). The obverse design features the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar, with 'INDIA' and the Rupee symbol '₹' and '75' in international numerals. The reverse design includes the logo of the 'Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur', the inscription 'INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, KHARAGPUR' in English, the year '2025', and 'PLATINUM JUBILEE'. Short title and commencement. - (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Denomination of coin.- The coin of Seventy Five Rupees denomination shall only be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate on the occasion of Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. 3. Design.- The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule annexed to these rules. 5. Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The standard weight of the coin of denomination referred in rule 2 to commemorate the occasion of Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule annexed to these rules. THE FIRST SCHEDULE [See rule 4] SEVENTY FIVE RUPEES OBVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “सत्यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devnagri script and on the right periphery with the word "INDIA" in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "₹" and denominational value "75" in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the logo of “Platinum Jubilee Celebration of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur”. The inscription “भारतीय प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान, खड़गपुर” shall be written in Devanagari script on the upper periphery of the coin and the inscription “INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY, KHARAGPUR” in English shall be written on the lower periphery of the coin. The year “2025” shall be written in international numerals on the lower side of the design. Above it, the text “प्लैटिनम जयंती” shall be written in Devanagari script, and “PLATINUM JUBILEE" shall be placed below the Devanagari script.
