The revised policy clarifies that a Certificate of Inspection by the Export Inspection Council/Export Inspection Agency remains mandatory for rice exports to EU Member States, United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. However, for exports to all other European countries, this Certificate of Inspection will not be mandatory for a period of six months, effective from April 10, 2026, until October 1, 2026. The Export Policy Conditions are notified under the existing entries under the following ITC(HS) Codes are amended as under : - [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] 3 subject to issuance of Certificate of Inspection by Export Inspection Council/Export Inspection Agency'. ii. Certificate of Inspection by Export Inspection Council/ Export Inspection Agency shall not be mandatory for export to remaining European countries with effect from the date of this notification for a period of six months i.e. till 01.10.2026. Effect of notification - The requirement for a Certificate of Inspection from EIC/EIAs for Rice (Basmati and Non-Basmati) exports is limited to EU member states, the UK, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland. Exports to other European countries are exempt from this requirement for six months from the date of this notification. [F.
