There shall be an Examination Committee and it shall comprise of: a. Vice-Chancellor who shall be the Chairperson, Ex-officio b. Registrar- Member, Ex-Officio с. Deans of the Schools- Members, Ex-Officio d. Directors of Campuses- Member, Ex-Officio e. Dean of Students' Welfare- Ex-Officio f. Principals of Two Affiliated Colleges of the University, of which one shall be from the Government Colleges and one from Non-Government Aided Colleges, in order of seniority by rotation for every two years g. One Senior-most faculty from each school among the Departments of the concerned school by rotation for two years duration h. Two eminent educationists of the area (not belonging to the University Services), nominated by the Vice- Chancellor. i. Controller of Examinations- Member Secretary, Ex-officio Quorum 2. 50% of the members of examination committee shall constitute the quorum of the committee. Meetings of the Examination Committee 3. The Examination Committee shall hold one meeting at least once in every semester (Odd/even). Powers and Functions of the Examination Committee 4. The Examination Committee so constituted shall perform the following functions: a. The Examination Committee shall be authorized to supervise the University Examination work including operation, collection, tabulation from time to time. b. scrutinize the panel of examiners and moderators suggested by BoS, and if necessary be empowered to remove them. с. Audit the process of university examination, result declaration process and submission of reports, thereon forward for the consideration of the Academic Council. d. Make recommendations to the Academic Council for improvement of examination system. e. Finalize the dates of the examinations of university study programmes. f. Consider the issue of judicious distribution of students appearing in the examination at various centers of university examinations. g. To suggest the nature and level of punishment to the students apprehended by the examination centers for involving in unfair means practices while appearing in his/her subject examination. h. to suggest alteration in the mark sheets/degrees and other certificates issued to the students on completion of study programmes. i. Empowered to review the existing process of conducting practical and viva-voce examinations prescribed in the university courses subject to the approval of the University Academic Council.
