The Ministry of Textiles, via Notification S.O. 169(E) dated January 12, 2026, announces that the Central Government, exercising powers under sub-section (3)(c) of Section 4 of the Central Silk Board Act, 1948 (61 of 1948), has nominated Shri Narayanasa K. Bhandage as a member of the Central Silk Board. Shri Bhandage, a duly elected member of Rajya Sabha, will serve for a period of three years, effective from December 18, 2025, or until the completion of his term in Rajya Sabha, whichever occurs earlier, subject to other provisions of the Act.
