The Ministry of Finance (Department of Economic Affairs) issued notification G.S.R. 564(E) dated 11 September 2024, under clauses (d) and (e) of sub-section (2) of section 24 of the Coinage Act, 2011 (11 of 2011), making the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtaldham Dwishatabdi Mahotsav) Rules, 2024, effective from the date of publication in the Official Gazette. The rules authorise a coin of two hundred rupees denomination to commemorate the occasion of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtaldham Dwishatabdi Mahotsav. The coin is circular, 44 millimetres in outside diameter, with 200 serrations, composed of pure silver (99.9 per cent), with a standard weight of 40 grams (silver content tolerance of 998.8 parts per 1000 or above, and weight tolerance of 39.995 to 40.005 grams). The obverse bears the Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar with the legend "Satyameva Jayate" below it, flanked by "Bharat" in Devanagari on the left periphery and "INDIA" in English on the right, together with the Rupee symbol and the denominational value "200." The reverse bears an image of the temple of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtaldham, with the inscriptions "SHREE SWAMINARAYAN MANDIR" and "VADTALDHAM DWISHATABDI MAHOTSAV" on the lower periphery, and the years "1824" and "2024" on the left and right of the temple image respectively. Short title and commencement .- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtaldham Dwishatabdi Mahotsav ) Rules, 2024 . (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Denomination of coin.- The coin of two hundred rupees denomination shall only be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Cen tral Government to commemorate on the occasion of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtaldham Dwishatabdi Mahotsav . 3. Dimension and composition of coin. - The denomination of the coin mentioned in rule 2 shall conform to the following dimensions and composition, namely: - Denomination of coin Shape and outside diameter Number of serrations Metal composition (1) (2) (3) (4) Two hundred Rupees Circular 44 millimeter 200 Pure Silver Silver - 99.9 per cent. 4. Design .- The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule annexed to these rules. 5.Standard weight and remedy allowed .- The standard weight of the coin of denomination referred in rule 2 to commemorate the occasion of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtaldham Dwishatabdi Mahotsav and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedul e annexed to these rules. THE FIRST SCHEDULE [See rule 4] TWO HUNDRED RUPEES OBVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “सत्यमेव जयते ” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत ” in Devnag ari script and on the right periphery with the word “ INDIA ” in English. It sh all also bear the Rupee symbol “ ₹” and denominational value “ 200” in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the image of the temple of Shree Swaminarayan Mandir, Vadtaldham . The inscription periphery of the coin and the inscription “ SHREE SWAMINARAYAN MANDIR ” and “VADTALDHAM DWISHATABDI MAHOTSAV” in English shall be depicted on the lower periphery of the coin. The year “ 1824 ” and “ 2024 ” shall be written on the left side and the right side of the image of the temple in international numbers respectively. THE SECOND SCHEDULE [See rule 5] Denomination of coin Standard weight Remedy allowed In composition In standard weight (1) (2) (3) (4) Two hundred Rupees 40 Grams 999 parts of silver per 1000. The tolerance for Silver content shall be 998.8 and above. 1/8000th plus or minus that is to say weight could be 39.995 grams to 40.005 grams. [F.
