1760 GI/202 4 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1168 ] NEW DELHI, MONDAY , MARCH 11, 2024 /PHALGUNA 21, 1945 CG-DL-E-11032024-252845 MINISTRY OF FINANCE (Department of Revenue ) (PITNDPS Division ) ORDER New Delhi, the 11th March , 2024 S.O. 1230(E).—Whereas the Joint Secretary to the Government of India especially empowered under sub - section (1) of section (3) of the Prevention of Illicit Traffic in Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1988 issued a Detention Order No. U -11011/ 34/2023-PITNDPS dated 01.09.2023 under the said sub -section directing that Bishop Ikechukwu Promise Onoyo S/o Emmanuel Onoyo , R/o (i) 13, Benjamin Street, Onitsha, Annambra State, Nigeria and (ii) 68, Ground Floor, 4th Cross, Rainbow Layout, Maruthi Extension, Vaderhalli, Vidyaranyapura Post, Bangalore - 560097 be detained in Bangalore Central Prison , Parappana Agrahara , Bangalore with a view to prevent him from engaging in illicit trafficking of narcotic drug & psychotr opic substances. 2. Whereas, the Central Government has reasons to believe that the aforesaid person has absconded or has been concealing himself so that the said detention order cannot be executed. 3. Now, therefore, in exercise of powers conferred by c lause (b) of sub -section (1) of section 8 of the said Act, the Central Government hereby directs the aforesaid person to appear before the Director General of Police, Karnataka within 10 days of the publication of this order in the official Gazette.
