Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Culture, via Notification S.O. 5059(E) dated November 4, 2025, in exercise of powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), has appointed Smt. P.S. Pramila, Deputy Director, Kalakshetra Foundation, Chennai, to be an estate officer. This appointment supersedes the previous notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Culture vide number S.O. 197(E), dated 17th January, 2017, published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), with the exception of things done or omitted before the supersession. As an estate officer, Smt. P.S. Pramila shall exercise the powers and perform the duties imposed by or under the said Act, specifically within the jurisdiction of all buildings and properties under the administrative control of the Kalakshetra Foundation located in Chennai and Chingleput districts of Tamil Nadu.

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971 (40 of 1971), and in supersession of the notification of the Government of India, Ministry of Culture vide number S.O. 197(E), dated 17th January, 2017 published in the Gazette of India, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, the Central Government hereby appoints the officer mentioned in column (1) of the Table below being a gazetted officer of the Government of India to be estate officer for the purpose of the said Act, and directs that the said officer shall exercise the powers conferred and perform the duties imposed on the Estate Officer by or under the said Act, within the limits of jurisdiction and in respect of the public premises specified in column (2) of the said Table.
