A pet dog and pet cat as permitted to import at Cochin Airport.

L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-10102024-257801 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4033] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2024/ASVINA 18, 1946 MINISTRY OF FISHERIES, ANIMAL HUSBANDRY AND DAIRYING (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 10th October, 2024 S.O. 4396(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 read with clause (b) of section 2 of the Live- stock Importation Act, 1898 (9 of 1898), the Central Government hereby makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Agriculture, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries number S.O. 1495 (E), dated the 10th June, 2014, published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 11th June, 2014, namely:-- In the Schedule to the said notification, in paragraph 1, for the proviso, the following proviso shall be substituted, namely:- "Provided that a pet dog or pet cat as permitted under the applicable baggage rules shall be allowed to be imported through Cochin International Airport, Kochi under the jurisdiction of Animal Quarantine and Certification Station in Chennai.".
