This notice, exercising powers conferred under Paragraph 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy, 2023, inserts an additional Para 4.53 (e) into the Handbook of Procedures, 2023. The purpose of this amendment is to enhance ease of doing business by providing a correction facility within the online system for unutilized and un-transferred Duty Free Import Authorisations (DFIAs). The new Para 4.53 (e) specifies that applications for system-related and corrective amendments to DFIAs shall be filed in ANF 4G and will require the approval of the Head of Office. Illustrative examples of allowed corrections include changes in the Unit of Measurement, ITC HS code of the import item, and the value of the import item.
