KOUSTHUBHA UPADHYAYA, Adviser (Ayurveda) New Delhi, the 4th December, 2024 S.O. 5285 (E).—Whereas the draft of certain rules further to amend the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940) was published vide notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Ayush, number S.O.155 (E), dated the 11th January, 2024, as required under sections 33-O and sub-section (2) of section 16 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), inviting objections and suggestions from persons likely to be affected thereby before the expiry of a period of three months from the date on which the copies of the Official Gazette containing the said notification were made available to the public; And Whereas, the copies of said Official Gazette were made available to the public on the 15th January, 2024; And Whereas, objections and suggestions received from the public on the said rules have been considered by the Central Government; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 33-O and sub-section (2) of section 16 of the said Act, the Central Government, after consultation with the Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani Drugs Technical Advisory Board hereby makes the following amendments in the First and Second Schedule of the said Act, namely:- 1. In the First Schedule to the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940), after heading "B. (b) in sub-item (c), after the words "the German Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia", the following shall be inserted, namely:- "or the French Homoeopathic Pharmacopoeia or the European Pharmacopeia." [F.
