7070 GI/202 3 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4669] NEW DELHI, THURS DAY , NOVEMBER 9, 2023/ KARTIKA 18, 1945 CG-DL-E-09112023-249985 MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 9th November, 2023 S.O. 4869(E).—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the public interest s o requires that the services of the industry engaged in Food stuffs, which is covered under item 6 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares the services engaged in the ‘Food Stuffs’ to be a public utility service for the purpos es of the said Act, for a period of six months with effect from the date of publication of this notification.
