7071 GI/202 3 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4670] NEW DELHI, THURS DAY , NOVEMBER 9, 2023/ KARTIKA 18, 1945 CG-DL-E-09112023-249984 MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 9th November , 2023 S.O. 4870 (E).—Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that public interest so requires that the services engaged in the Lead and Zinc Mining Industry , which are covered under item s 14 and 15 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947) to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub -clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government hereby declares t he services engaged in the Lead and Zinc Mining Industry to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act , for a period of six months with effect from the date of publication of this notification.
