7079 GI/202 3 (1) EXTRAORDINARY PART II —Section 3 —Sub-section ( ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4677] NEW DELHI, THURS DAY , NOVEMBER 9, 2023/ KARTIKA 18, 1945 CG-DL-E-09112023-249983 MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 9th November , 2023 S.O. 4 879(E).— Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the public interest so requires that the services of the industry engaged in the ‘processing or production or distribution of fuel gases (coal gas, natural gas and the like) ’ which is covered under item 29 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947) the Central Government hereby declares the services engaged in the ‘processing or production or distribution of fuel gases (coal gas, natural gas and the like) ’ to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act , for a period of six months with effect from the date of publication of this notification.
