In pursuance of the notification of resolution of the Government of India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Water Resources, vide No. 23/8/92-E.R. dated the 1st October 1992, published in the Gazette of India in Part I Section 1 and in supersession of notification of the Government of India, in the erstwhile Ministry of Irrigation resolution No. 2(17)/80-FC dated the 19th March 1982, published in the Gazette of India, Part I, Section 1, the Government of India reconstitutes the High Powered Review Board with the following members: Chairman: i. Union Minister for Jal Shakti Members: ii. Chief Minister of Assam or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him iii. Chief Minister of Manipur or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him iv. Chief Minister of Meghalaya or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him v. Chief Minister of Nagaland or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him vi. Chief Minister of Tripura or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him vii. Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him viii. Chief Minister of Mizoram or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him ix. Chief Minister of West Bengal or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him x. Chief Minister of Sikkim or a Cabinet Minister duly authorized by him xi. Union Minister / Minister of State for Finance xii. Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti xiii. Union Minister/Minister of Power xiv. Union Minister/Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare xv. Union Minister/Minister of State for Ports, Shipping and Waterways. xvi. Secretary, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR, Ministry of Jal Shakti xvii. Chairman, Central Water Commission, Department of Water Resources, RD & GR Member-Secretary: xviii. Chairman, Brahmaputra Board Member (RM), Central Water Commission, will be a permanent invitee to the meeting of the Board. The Board will lay down board policies and oversee the work of the Brahmaputra Board for its efficient functioning. The Board will frame its own Rules of Business. The headquarters of the Board will be at Guwahati. The Secretariat assistance to the Board will be provided by the Chairman of the Brahmaputra Board, Guwahati. KARAN SINGH, Jt. Secy. ORDER Ordered that a copy of this Resolution be communicated to the concerned State/Union Territories, the Private Secretary and Military Secretaries to the President, Prime Minister's Office, the Comptroller and Auditor General of India, the NITI Aayog and all Ministries/Departments of Central Government for information.
