Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Labour and Employment, under Notification S.O. 2343(E) dated 8th May, 2026, has exercised the powers conferred by clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 140 of the Code on Social Security, 2020 (36 of 2020). The Central Government hereby notifies that the provisions of section 139 of the said Code shall not apply to vacancies where the total remuneration (defined as wages in the Code) is less than eleven thousand rupees per month.
