Short title and commencement.- (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee) Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Denomination of coin.- The coin of One Hundred Twenty-Five Rupees denomination shall only be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government on the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee. 3. Design.- The design of the coin shall be as specified in the First Schedule annexed to these rules. 5. Standard weight and remedy allowed.- The standard weight of the coin of above denomination coined to commemorate the occasion of 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule annexed to these rules. THE FIRST SCHEDULE (See rule 4) ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FIVE RUPEES OBVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend “सत्यमेव जयते” inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word “भारत” in Devnagari script and on the right periphery with the word “INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "₹" and denominational value "125" in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: This face of the coin shall feature the portrait of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee at the centre. The year '1901' in international numerals shall be inscribed on the left side and the year '2026' shall be inscribed on the right side of the image. Below the image of Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee, the year '2025' in international numerals shall be inscribed. On the upper periphery of the coin, the inscription “डॉ. श्यामा प्रसाद मुखर्जी की 125वीं जयंती" shall be written in Devanagari script, and the inscription “125TH BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF DR. SYAMA PRASAD MOOKERJEE” shall be inscribed in English on the bottom periphery of the coin.
