L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-08032024-252755 EXTRAORDINARY PART II—Section 3—Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1064] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, MARCH 7, 2024/PHALGUNA 17, 1945 (1) 2 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA : EXTRAORDINARY [PART II—SEC. 3(ii)] MINISTRY OF JAL SHAKTI (Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation) NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 6th March, 2024 S.O. 1121(E).—In exercise of the powers conferred by sub-sections (1) and (3) of section 3 of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 (29 of 1986), read with paragraph 20 of the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation (erstwhile Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation) vide number S.O. 3187(E), dated the 7th October, 2016 published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), the Central Government hereby includes the following experts nominated by the State of Uttar Pradesh as Members in the State Ganga Committee for the State of Uttar Pradesh, namely:- i. Shri Raman Kant, Founder, Neer Foundation, Meerut - Member; ii. Shri Farooq Rehman Khan, State Program Director, WaterAid India, Uttar Pradesh - Member; iii. Shri Suresh Babu, Director, Rivers Wetlands and Water Policy Division, W.W.F., India - Member; iv. Dr. Radha Krishan Dixit, Associate Professor/ Ganga Activist, K.A.P.G. College, Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh - Member; v. Shri Avdesh Kumar, Rashtriya Mantri, Ganga Samagra - Member. 2. The nominated members shall hold office for a term of two years from the date of publication of this notification. 3.
