S.O. 5038(E).— Whereas in exercise of the powers conferred by section 16 read with section 17 and section 25 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016), and in pursuance of the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2024, published in the Gazette of India vide Notification No. S.O. 1896(E), dated the 3rd May, 2024, and in continuation of the extension of timelines provided vide Notification No. S.O. 2007(E), dated the 5th May, 2025, the Central Government hereby orders that the date of enforcement for all product categories specified in the Table to the said Order except those mentioned at Sr. No. 1.1(a), which have already been implemented on the 10th November, 2024, shall stand deferred until further orders. Note.- -The principal Order, namely, the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Order, 2020 was published in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O. 4044(E), dated the 11th November, 2020. Subsequent extensions in timelines were granted vide notification numbers S.O. 4492(E), dated the 18th October, 2021, S.O. 5083(E), dated the 28th October, 2022 and S.O. 2007(E), dated the 5th May 2025. Further, the Order was amended through the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023 vide S.O. 2132(E), dated the 9th May, 2023, and the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Second Amendment Order, 2024 vide S.O. 1896(E), dated the 3rd May, 2024.
