L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-07112024-258511 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 4446] NEW DELHI, THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7, 2024/KARTIKA 16, 1946 MINISTRY OF STATISTICS AND PROGRAMME IMPLEMENTATION NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 18th October, 2024 S.O. 4827(E).—The Competent Authority approves the following amendments in the Para 3 (Appointment, Tenure and Service Conditions of the Chairperson and Members) of the earlier notification No. 465 dated 10th May, 2006, with effect from the date of this notification:- 2. In the said Notification- (i) In Serial No.3.9, the following entries shall be substituted: "The Chairperson of the National Statistical Commission will be entitled for an honorarium of ₹50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand) per month. Each Member of the National Statistical Commission, except ex-officio Member, will be entitled for an honorarium of ₹40,000/- (Rupees Forty Thousand) per month. The future revisions in the honorarium shall be made, as and when required, by the Ministry of Statistics & Programme Implementation (MoSPI) with the approval of the Department of Expenditure (DoE), Ministry of Finance (MoF)." (ii) In Serial No. 3.11, the following entries shall be substituted: "While undertaking tours, including local travel, in connection with the work of the Commission, the Chairperson or Members of the National Statistical Commission will be entitled to traveling allowance, daily allowance and for reimbursement of other travel costs, such as stay in a hotel guest house etc., as admissible from time to time to a Secretary to the Government of India under the traveling allowance rules of the Government of India." (iii) In Serial No.3.12, the following entries shall be substituted: "The Chairperson or Members of the National Statistical Commission will be eligible for reimbursement of bills relating to residential telephone / mobile phone / broadband as admissible from time to time to a Secretary to the Government of India. An undertaking would also be submitted by the Chairperson / Member that he/she has not claimed reimbursement of such bills or expenditure from any other source/ organisation" (iv) After Serial No. 3.16, Serial No. 3.17 shall be inserted as follows: "The Rule 3 of the Central Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1964, as amended from time to time, as applicable to a Government servant as well as the Code of Professional Ethics, as amended from time to time, notified by MoSPI vide F.No.Y- 18020/3/2019-CAP dated 19th July 2019, for Members of the various Committees constituted by MoSPI or by the Organizations, Institutions and bodies etc., funded by it, has been formulated to protect the confidentiality of the data/information acquired by them; both shall be applicable mutatis mutandis to the Chairperson and Members of the National Statistical Commission."
