L.-33004/99 The Gazette of India CG-DL-E-07052024-254081 EXTRAORDINARY PART II-Section 3-Sub-section (ii) PUBLISHED BY AUTHORITY No. 1844] NEW DELHI, TUESDAY, MAY 7, 2024/VAISAKHA 17, 1946 THE GAZETTE OF INDIA: EXTRAORDINARY MINISTRY OF LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT NOTIFICATION New Delhi, the 7th May, 2024 [PART II-SEC. 3(ii)] S.O. 1937(E). - Whereas the Central Government is satisfied that the public interest so requires that the services in the Uranium Industry, which is covered under item 19 of the First Schedule to the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act; Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by sub-clause (vi) of clause (n) of section 2 of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 (14 of 1947), the Central Government hereby issues the following order as follows: - 1. Short title and Commencement. - (1) This order may be called the Public Utility Services (Second Order) 2024. (2) It shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette. 2. The Central Government hereby declares the services engaged in the Uranium industry to be a public utility service for the purposes of the said Act, for a period of six months with effect from the date of publication of this notification.
