Short title and commencement.— (1) These rules may be called the Coinage (Issue of Commemorative Coin on the occasion of commemoration of 150 years of ‘Vande Mataram') Rules, 2025. (2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette. 2. Denomination of coin.— The coin of One Hundred Fifty Rupees denomination shall be coined at the Mint for issue under the authority of the Central Government to commemorate the occasion of One Hundred Fifty years of 'Vande Mataram'. 3. Standard weight and remedy allowed.— The standard weight of the coin of denomination referred in rule 2 to commemorate the occasion of One Hundred Fifty years of ‘Vande Mataram' and the remedy allowed in making of such coin shall be as specified in the Second Schedule annexed to these rules. FIRST SCHEDULE [See rule 4] ONE HUNDRED FIFTY RUPEES OBVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the Lion Capitol of Ashoka Pillar in the centre with the legend "सत्यमेव जयते" inscribed below, flanked on the left periphery with the word "भारत" in Devanagari script and on the right periphery with the word “INDIA” in English. It shall also bear the Rupee symbol "₹" and denominational value “150” in the international numerals below the Lion Capitol. REVERSE: This face of the coin shall bear the image of British soldiers and Indian freedom fighters in the centre of the coin. The inscription " 'वंदे मातरम्' के 150 वर्षों का स्मरणोत्सव” shall be written in Devanagari script on the upper periphery of the coin and the inscription “COMMEMORATION OF 150 YEARS OF ‘VANDE MATARAM" in English shall be depicted on the lower periphery of the coin. The year "1875" in international numerals shall be inscribed on the left side of the image and the year “2025” in international numerals shall be inscribed on the right side of the image.
