No. 01/89/180/13/AM-15/PC-2[A]/E-5910), issued by the Directorate General of Foreign Trade, Department of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, under paragraphs 1.03 and 2.04 of the Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) 2023, amends Appendix 2Y (Refer Para 2.03(c) of FTP), the list of Ministries/Departments whose mandatory Quality Control Order (QCO) notifications are exempted for goods used or consumed in manufacture of export products by Advance Authorisation holders, Export Oriented Units (EOUs) and Special Economic Zones (SEZs), by adding the Ministry of Heavy Industries, in pursuance of Notification No. 71/2023 dated 11.03.2024, to the existing list comprising the Ministry of Steel, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of Mines, and Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, with immediate effect; the notice is signed by Santosh Kumar Sarangi, Director General of Foreign Trade and Ex-officio Additional Secretary.
