Subject: Extension of implementation timeline under the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control)
Second Amendment Order, 2024 — reg.
S.O.2007 (E).— In pursuance of the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Second
Amendment Order, 2024, published in the Gazette of India vide S.O. 1896(E), dated the 3rd May, 2024, the
date of enforcement for the product categories mentioned at serial numbers 1.2(a), 1.3(a), 2.1(a), 3.1(a), 4, 5,
6.1(a), 7, and 8.1 of the Table of the said Order, is hereby extended by six months from 10th May, 2025 to
10th November, 2025.

Note.—The principal Order, namely, the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Order, 2020 was published
in the Gazette of India, Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), vide notification number S.O.
4044(E), dated the 11th November, 2020. Subsequent extensions in timelines were granted vide notification
numbers S.O. 4492(E), dated the 18th October, 2021, and S.O. 5083(E), dated the 28th October, 2022.
Further, the Order was amended through the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2023
vide S.O. 2132(E), dated the 9th May, 2023, and the Electrical Equipment (Quality Control) Second
Amendment Order, 2024 vide S.O. 1896(E), dated the 3rd May, 2024.
