N o. 1644 of 2023} remanding the matter to the High Court of Kerala for reconsideration of the application filed by Shri Mohammed Faizal P.P., MP seeking suspension of his conviction. 2. Now, the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala at Ernakulam vide its order dated 03.10.2023 in Crl. M. Appl. No. 1/2023 in Crl. A. No. 49 of 2023, has rejected the prayer of Shri Mohammed Faizal P. P., MP for suspension of the order of conviction. 3. In view of order dated 03.10.2023 of the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala, Shri Mohamme d Faizal P.P., Member of LokSabha representing the Lakshadweep Parliamentary Constituency of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep stands disqualified from the membership of LokSabha from the date of his conviction, i.e. 11th January, 2023 in terms of provisi ons of Article 102(1)(e) of the Constitution of India read with Section 8 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 subject to further judicial pronouncements.
