NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st July, 2026
G.S.R. 554(E).— In exercise of the powers conferred by section 84 read with sub-clause (i) of clause (g) of
section 2 of the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (16 of 2016) and in pursuance of the amendment
made to section 68 of the said Act under section 2 read with serial number 70 of the Schedule to the Jan Vishwas
(Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026 (8 of 2026), the Central Government hereby makes the following rules to amend
the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (General) Rules, 2016, namely:—
1. (1) These rules may be called the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (General)
Amendment Rules, 2026.
(2) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Official Gazette.
2. In the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Real Estate (Regulation and Development) (General) Rules, 2016, in rule
33, in sub-rule (1), in the Table, the following row shall be omitted, namely: -

| "Punishable with imprisonment under section 68.| ten per cent. of the estimated cost of the plot, apartment or building, as the case may be." |
