NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 1st July, 2025
S.O. 2974(E).—Whereas, by the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Culture
(Archaeological Survey of India) number S.O. 1199(E), dated the 8th March, 2024 published in the Gazette of India,
Extraordinary, Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii), dated the 11th March 2024, the Central Government, in exercise of the
powers conferred by section 35 of the Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958
(24 of 1958) gave two months' notice declaring that the monument specified in the Schedule to that notification, have
ceased to be of national importance;
And whereas, copies of the aforesaid notification were made available to the public on the 11th March, 2024;
And whereas no objections or suggestions were received from the public in respect of such declaration by the
Central Government within specified period.
Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 35 of the Ancient Monuments and
Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 1958 (24 of 1958), the Central Government hereby declare that the monuments
specified in the Schedule to this notification have ceased to be of national importance for the purposes of the said Act.
