NOTIFICATION
New Delhi, the 3rd June, 2025
S.O. 2472(E). In exercise of the powers conferred by section 4 of the Tobacco Board Act, 1975
(4 of 1975), read with rules 3 and 4 of the Tobacco Board Rules, 1976, the Central Government hereby appoints the
following persons as members of the Tobacco Board for a period of three years except the members against whom
specific period has been mentioned, with effect from the date of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette,
and for that purpose makes the following further amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the
erstwhile Ministry of Commerce (Tobacco Industry Development Council) number S.O. 5417, dated the
27th December, 1975, namely:-
In the said notification, -
(i) under the heading "appointed under clause(c) of sub-section (4) of section 4", for serial numbers 5 to 12 and
the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall respectively be substituted,
namely: -
"5. Director, Ministry of Agriculture, New Member (to represent Ministry of Agriculture)
Delhi
6. Director or Deputy Secretary, Export Member (to represent Ministry of Commerce)
Promotion Division (Agriculture), Ministry
of Commerce and Industry, New Delhi
7. Director (Finance) Ministry of Commerce, Member (to represent Ministry of Finance)

* Members appointed at serial numbers 13 and 14 shall hold office for a period of two years with effect from the date
of publication of this notification in the Official Gazette.
(iii) under the heading "appointed under clauses (f) and (g) of sub-section (4) of section 4", for serial numbers 25
and 26 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall respectively be substituted,
namely:-
"25. Agriculture Marketing Advisor to the Member, ex-officio
Government of India, Department of
Agriculture and Cooperation, New Delhi
26. Executive Director, Tobacco Board, Guntur Member, ex-officio".

27th December, 1975 and was lastly amended vide notification number S.O. 968(E), dated the
