The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, through Notification S.O. 2460(E) dated 27th May, 2025, notifies the Telangana Forensic Science Laboratory (TGFSL) located at Red Hills near Niloufer Hospital, Hyderabad–500004, as an Examiner of Electronic Evidence within India. This notification is issued by the Central Government in exercise of powers conferred by section 79A of the Information Technology Act 2000 (21 of 2000). The scope of services for TGFSL as an Examiner of Electronic Evidence includes Computer (Media) Forensics, excluding Floppy Disk Drive, and Mobile Devices Forensics.
