This notification, S.O. 10(E) dated January 1, 2026, issued by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying), announces the appointment of Shri Meenesh Shah, currently the Managing Director of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), as the Chairman of the National Dairy Development Board. This appointment is made by the Central Government in exercise of powers conferred by sub-sections (2) and (3) of Section 8, read with Section 9 of the National Dairy Development Board Act, 1987 (37 of 1987). Shri Shah's tenure as Chairman commences from the date he assumes charge of the post and will continue until he attains the age of 65 years or until further orders, whichever occurs earliest. For the purpose of this appointment, an amendment is made to the Government of India's Notification S.O. 2172 dated 15.05.2025, previously issued by the same Ministry and Department. The principal notification, S.O. 210(E) dated 4th March, 1994, has been subsequently amended multiple times, with the latest amendment prior to this notification being S.O. 2172(E) dated 15.05.2025.
