Detailed Summary

The Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying (Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying), through Notification S.O. 3985(E) issued on 29th August, 2025, and published on September 1, 2025, has exercised powers conferred by Sub-Section (2) of Section 8 read with Section 9 of the National Dairy Development Board Act, 1987 (37 of 1987). The Central Government thereby nominated Shri Amit Kumar Ghosh as a Director on the Board of the National Dairy Development Board. Shri Ghosh is nominated from amongst the Chairmen of the State Co-operative Dairy Federations. His appointment is for a period of one year from the date of this notification, or until he ceases to be Chairman of Pradeshik Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited, or until further orders, whichever event occurs earliest. The Principal notification related to this subject was S.O. 210(E) dated 4th March, 1994, which has been subsequently amended multiple times by various S.O. notifications.
